Summer Fellowship Admissions in IIT Madras  

The IITM Summer Fellowship program is designed for young students interested in high quality academic research through a goal oriented summer mini-project experience. Engineering, Management, Sciences and Humanities students can participate in this 2 months summer fellowship with stipend. The course for this year will start from May 2014.

Highlights of IITM Summer 2014 Fellowship program

• Duration of the project will be 2 months. The summer project may be scheduled from 16 May 2014 to 15 July 2014.
• The students will recieve a sum of Rs.5000/- per month as a stipend for a maximum period  of 2 months. 

Eligibility for Admission in IIT Madras Summer Fellowship

• IIT students are not eligible to apply for this summer fellowship.
• Students pursuing third year of B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc. (Engg)/Integrated M.E./M.Tech. programme, first year of ME/M.Tech/M.Sc./M.A, MBA with outstanding academic background in terms of high ranks in university examinations can apply.
• Applicants should highlight their academic performance and achievement including papers presented at seminars, projects executed, design contests participated, score/rank in Mathematics Olympiad and any other awards/distinctions obtained.

How to apply for Admission in IITM Summer Fellowship 

Candidates need to apply for admission in IIT Madras Summer Fellowship 2014 only by online mode. (www.iitm.ac.in/internship)

Applicant should not send hard copy to IIT Madras. Student should generate PDF of online form reciept for future reference. Relevant certificates and data should be scanned and uploaded through the online application form.

Important Dates for IIT Madras Summer Fellowship 

• Last date to apply for admission in IIT Madras Summer Fellowship is 18.02.2014
• The summer fellowship course starts from 16 May 2014.
• The summer fellowship course concludes on 15 July 2014.
